If you are planning on visiting Istanbul in June 2009, you should be aware that the Formula One racing typically attracts a large number of visitors to Turkey. This means that this busy city is busier than ever as a surge of fans descends for the event. Hotels are often booked up for a year in advance of this annual event and room rates are usually based upon supply and demand, so it follows that Istanbul hotels will raise their rates around the dates of such events.

If you reserve your hotels online, you are advised to read carefully the Terms and Conditions of any reservation you make, as it may be stated that rates and policies may change on event days and you would want to know what and how such changes affect your reservation.

As well, even though the event lasts just three days, many of those who came to visit for the Grand Prix may wish to extend their trip to include other prime destinations such as Cappadocia, Selcuk, etc. We would be happy to arrange your trip extension with reliable and professional tour operators.
