Pomegranate Christmas Colours

I didn’t know that when a pomegranate is ripe, it bursts open to display its ripe, juicy contents.  Anti-oxidants at their ripest!

This fruit was picked from a friend’s tree in Madrid in November.  I have picked the same fruit from trees in Olympus, Turkey in September, but it didn’t seem to open up like this.  Also, the fruit was darker.  Both delicious though!

As for colour – very Christmassy, don’t you think?
